RETC reporting and the Single Window

We help you meet your reporting obligations under the Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (RETC) through the Single Window (Ventanilla Única), and bring outstanding or incorrect submissions up to date. Avoid fines from the environmental authority, which, depending on their severity, can reach 10,000 UTA (annual tax units).

What is the RETC?

The RETC is the public register, run by the Ministry of the Environment, that gathers information on emissions to air and water and on the waste generated by facilities across the country. Companies meet their sectoral obligations through the Single Window system (VU-RETC), where each system has its own deadlines and requirements.

Emissions estimation

Where no direct measurements exist, we estimate emissions of particulate matter (PM, PM10 and PM2.5), combustion gases, hazardous compounds, BTEX, heavy metals and greenhouse gases using recognised methodologies. These estimates are used both for the RETC and for projects entering the Environmental Impact Assessment System (SEIA).

Does my company have to report?

It depends on your activity, your emission sources and the waste you generate. In an initial review, we tell you which systems apply to you.
